Where Design Begins
Natalie Hayes brings an uncommon depth of understanding to the practice of interior design. Self-taught by experience and refined through continued education, her career began not in a studio but on jobsites—working as a water restoration technician and learning firsthand what must come before design can succeed.
Supporting clients through home damage and subsequent redesigns provided a uniquely well-rounded design education, shaped by real needs, varied lifestyles, and a wide range of aesthetic goals. As her career evolved, she stepped into project management—coordinating trades, overseeing timelines, and managing projects independently. This progression led naturally into the successful execution of full home renovations, where construction knowledge and design vision intersect seamlessly.
To complement hands-on experience, she pursued formal training in design software. She is currently expanding her technical skill set through advanced SketchUp studies, creating increasingly detailed and immersive visualizations that bring concepts to life. Outside of client work, she continuously refines her practice by redesigning floor plans, sourcing materials for hypothetical projects, and studying exemplary spaces—often documenting anything and everything that catches her eye during travel.
While her personal design sensibility gravitates toward organic modern, minimalist, contemporary, and modern styles, her approach remains adaptable, informed, and grounded in purpose. Her work reflects a balance of technical expertise, thoughtful observation, and ongoing curiosity—resulting in interiors that are not only visually refined, but highly functional and deeply considered.
